The powersupply was tested and removed from a refurbished Dell Poweredge R710.
Dell Poweredge R710 power supply status indicators. No light on the power supply means AC power is not present. Green Light AC power is present. Orange light indicates a fault has been detected. Green light indicates power is present and working. Light switching between green and orange indicates mismatched hot plug power supplies.
In the Dell Poweredge R710 all 570W and 870W will work in any of the servers regardless of part number. If you have redundant power supplies the wattages need to match each other. The 870W is the high output power supply and the 570W is the energy efficient option. Once you hit a certain configuration you need to use the higher output 870W power supplies.
