    • Poweredge R910 Backplanes

    The Dell Poweredge R910 Server has a few different hard drive backplane options. The options are four, eight, and sixteen hot-plug 2.5” SATA SSD, SAS, nearline SAS, or SATA drive. The backplanes can use a variety of drives. 2.5” SATA SSD, SAS (15K, 10K), nearline SAS (7.2K), SATA (7.2K), SAS 512e (15K). The replacement backplane needs to be the same as the one currently installed as the chassis dictates which one will physically fit. Always replace with a genuine Dell backplane which all the backplanes listed here are all Dell original parts.
